Vincent Brand is a leader of a troop of actors in residence at the Grand Guignol Theatre and the first human to show kindness to the Creature.
History
Vincent Brand chanced upon the beaten Creature who had just been set upon by a group of thugs. Rather than be repulsed by his unusual appearance he assumed the Creature was the victim of an industrial accident.
Taking him to an inn he cheerfully sympathised with his strange new friend; saying he had also suffered; having fallen on hard times due to the lack of interest in the theatre. Upon learning the Creature intended to stay in the city he offered him work at the theatre where his appearance would not be the subject of scorn or ridicule.[1]
